Boynton Key On Both Ends As Florida Beats Vanderbilt

Kenny Boynton scored 24 points and held Vanderbilt’s guard John Jenkins to 10 points on 3-for-15 shooting to lead Florida to a 77-66 victory in the semifinals of the SEC tournament.

Jenkins entered the contest having scored 22 in each of Vanderbilit’s previous two meetings with Florida.

"My job tonight was just to come out and try to take him out of the game," said Boynton, who led the Gators with 24 points. Said coach Billy Donovan, "And Kenny Boynton was in the right place mentally… His focus wasn't on, 'OK, I'm going to try to match Jenkins point for point.'"

Erving Walker added 17 for the Gators.
