Alan Hahn, beat writer for the Knicks, will be leaving Newsday to join the MSG TV network for the 11-12 season. Newsday's Neil Best broke the news of Hahn's upcoming departure on Monday.

Hahn will be used by MSG for pregame and postgame interviews and in other various capacities.

Hahn, who replaced Greg Logan as Newsday's beat writer for the Knicks for the 06-07 season, broke the news of LeBron James' decision to sign with the Heat.

The Dolan family owns controlling interest in Newsday, MSG and the Knicks.
