Amar’e Stoudemire sat out of the New York Knicks’ shootaround Saturday and is questionable for the team's game against the Utah Jazz.

"Sore knees, both knees are sore," Mike Woodson said of Stoudemire, adding this is "absolutely" why he's put a 30-minute cap on the veteran's playing time. "It's got to be that way, if we're in a seven-game series then that's different. Then it's time to play because all the marbles are on the table, but right now, we still, we've got 23 games left and a lot of basketball to be played so we've just got to be careful with all our older guys that we're not trying to burn them all in one game."

Stoudemire played 29 minutes in the Knicks 95-94 loss to the Thunder Thursday.
