Shawn Marion is held in high regard by the Dallas Mavericks' management and both sides share interest in possibly re-signing when Marion becomes a free agent in July.

Marion would have to take a significant pay cut from the $9.3 million he made this season.

“I’m not looking at that right now,” Marion said, as the Mavericks face elimination against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 6. “We’ll talk about that when it’s done.”

Marion averaged 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds this season. He is expected to also receive interest from contenders such as the Miami Heat.
