DeAndre Jordan will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason and figures to draw considerable interest.
"You can't take anything for granted, but DJ loves being a Clipper," Doc Rivers told Yahoo. "DJ loves being here. We have an amazing relationship."
The Los Angeles Clippers will almost certainly need to offer Jordan a five-year, $100 million deal to retain him.
Assuming Jordan re-signs, the Clippers will have three players on max contracts, making their ability to add a significant piece considerably difficult.
Bill Reiter of Fox Sports reports that Jordan and Chris Paul had a falling out throughout the 14-15 season that could factor into Jordan's free agency decision.
On Monday, Rivers confirmed they will offer Jordan a max contract.
"Yeah, I think I can say that."
