David Blatt is "highly likely" to return next season as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"David Blatt, I'm told, is highly likely to return to Cleveland. Management wants him back. Ownership wants him back.

"The players feel this way: they like him as a person, but the veteran players saw some deficiencies," said Broussard. "They saw he didn't really make adjustments during games. They thought his defensive philosophy wasn't good. It wasn't until Tyronn Lue really took over defensively that they improved on that end."

Broussard was also told Blatt had some issues calling plays during timeouts.

"LeBron James, how does he feel? He feels like there are better coaches out there to lead them to a championship with more NBA experience. Two of whom work here at ESPN: Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy.

"That said, LeBron is not going to get involved. He's not going to issue an ultimatum. He's not going to say 'It's me or David Blatt'. He's not going to hint at what they should do. He's going to stay clear of it. He wants the organization to pick their coach.
