Going into 2015 a year ago, LeBron James was injured and the Cleveland Cavaliers announced he would miss at least two weeks with "strains" of the lower back and left knee.

The team said at the time that James would be treated with "anti-inflammatories, rehabilitation, and training-room treatments." The reference to anti-inflammatories, it was later learned, was actually a reference to an injection in James' back.

James has been far healthier this season.

"I'm not being shut down today, so, obviously, it's more positive than it was last year," said James, who turned 31 Wednesday and celebrated by taking his family to Aspen.

"I feel a lot better coming out of the holiday than I did last year. ... my health is as good as it can be being 13 years in the league. "
