During a Tuesday meeting, Carmelo Anthony informed Phil Jackson he intends to remain with the New York Knicks and has no desire to waive his no-trade clause.

Anthony lashed out at Jackson after a critical column written by a confidant of Jackson's implied that Anthony’s days in New York should be coming to an end.

“Nothing has changed,” the source told the Daily News. “He wants to stay in New York and win in New York.”

The Vertical, citing an Anthony source, described the meeting as “calm” and “business-like.”

Anthony, who was aware of the story before being meeting with reporters, hinted that Jackson’s fingerprints were on the story.

"If that's the case, if that's where it's coming from, that side, I guess it's a conversation we should have,'' Anthony said Sunday. "If they feel my time in New York is over, I guess that's a conversation we should have."

The most recent controversy has led some in the Anthony camp wondering if Jackson is intentionally picking a public fight in hopes of agreeing to a trade.
