The New York Knicks will not consider hiring Isiah Thomas to replace Phil Jackson as president of basketball operations.

Thomas is currently serving as president of the New York Liberty.

Thomas was president of the basketball operations of the Knicks from 2003 until 2008.

While Berman's reporting dismisses the possibility, Frank Isola indicated a source described Thomas as a "dark horse candidate" for the job.

Thomas responded to the speculation on Twitter.
