The New York Knicks will interview David Griffin to run their front office.

Griffin and the Cleveland Cavaliers parted ways shortly after The Finals. Griffin was recommended by Jerry West, who remains close to Tim Leiweke. The expectation, however, is that Leiweke and Steve Mills are in no rush to fill the position.

Phil Jackson was let go as president of basketball operations of the Knicks this week.

Griffin began his career with the Phoenix Suns and then joined the Cavaliers in 2014. Griffin was elevated to general manager in 2014.
