The Oklahoma City Thunder remain hopeful Russell Westbrook will sign a designated veteran player extension by the Oct. 16th deadline.
The Thunder have had the offer on the table to Westbrook throughout the entire offseason.
"We are going to let it play itself out," said Sam Presti.
Westbrook can sign a $207 million extension with the thunder this offseason or wait until next summer and sign a similarly valued deal that contains player options.
