The Portland Trail Blazers hold a team option for the 19-20 season on the contract of Terry Stotts, but he would likely need an extension this offseason to return.

Sources say Stotts was not pleased when an extension wasn't offered last offseason. The Blazers also nearly fired Stotts last offseason.

Sotts previously signed an extension in 2016.

“It's a disappointing loss, but for me it was an outstanding season,” Stotts said Monday night. “The guys in the locker room are special. It's been a special season. Always tough to lose the last game of the year, but I couldn't be more proud of the group that we've had.”
