Marcus Morris organized a meeting for New York Knicks players just hours before the firing of David Fizdale, team sources told Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

Morris preached teamwork and accountability in the meeting, singling out himself, RJ Barrett, and Julius Randle.

Source said that the message was well received.

“You teach them that (losing isn’t acceptable) every day in practice. You talk to them. At the end of the day, age plays a big factor. We all got a job to do. That’s the biggest thing. You can’t say because I’m this age I don’t understand this or understand that. This is our entire team. It’s not just about the vets, not just about the young guys. It’s the entire team," said Morris following a loss to the Nuggets last Thursday.
