The Sacramento Kings will likely sign Malik Monk at the start of free agency, sources tell Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee.

Monk had a breakout season with the Los Angeles Lakers, but the team was limited in their means of re-signing him.

Monk played collegiately at Kentucky with De'Aaron Fox.

Monk is expected to command a salary in the range of $8 million to $12 million. The Kings can offer him all or part of their $10.3 million mid-level exception.
