Magic notes: Orlando plays Minnesota again after losing to the Timberwolves 103-95 just four nights earlier in Minnesota. The Magic led 49-44 at the half, but gave up a 24-2 run in the third quarter and never seriously challenged in the fourth quarter. The loss gave the Magic a 2-3 record on their five-game, seven-day roadtrip. . . The Magic play the same team in consecutive games two other times this season - Nov. 23-24 vs. Charlotte and Dec. 7-8 vs. Atlanta. . . The key matchup will be Tracy McGrady against Kevin Garnett. McGrady exploited the matchup for 25 points on 10 of 20 shooting Saturday night.
Timberwolves notes: Minnesota continues to be one of the league's biggest surprises this season. The Timberwolves took an 8-1 record into Tuesday's game in Miami with its only loss of the season coming at home against the woeful Cleveland Cavaliers. . . Wally Szczerbiak hurt the Magic on both ends of the floor last Saturday. He scored 20 points and held Orlando's Grant Hill to 6 of 18 shooting. . . Minnesota abandoned their matchup zone early in Saturday's game and still held the Magic to 40.2 percent shooting. They also outrebounded Orlando 55-32.
