From where Steve Goodrich sat Wednesday night at the Continental Arena, the Nets looked like an aerial version of his erstwhile and earthbound college team.

This, apparently, was no coincidence, as the Nets' head coach, Byron Scott, and his assistant, Eddie Jordan, had each worked alongside the former Princeton back-door maestro, Pete Carril, with the Sacramento Kings. Goodrich, Princeton class of '98, played two years as a 6- foot-10 high-post center for Carril and two for Bill Carmody before fading to the far fringes of the pro basketball perimeter.
