Last Friday, Shaquille O?Neal publicly stated that he would like to be moved from the Lakers and ever since, speculation has run rampant, as to where he might end up.  One franchise that has been vastly overlooked as a bonafide suitor are the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors have the personnel to exchange with the Lakers, which would be logical on a Salary Cap standpoint, as well as for overall team chemistry.  In the speculated trade, Erick Dampier, Nick Van Exel, Clifford Robinson and Mickael Pietrus would come to the Lakers in exchange for the three time champion O?Neal.

A resigned Kobe Bryant would instantly have one of the few true centers in Dampier, a clutch second scoring threat in Van Exel, a crafty veteran to defend the powerhouse power forwards of the West in Robinson, and a promising young athlete in Pietrus.

The Warriors, under new coach Mike Montgomery, would have a formidable starting five with O?Neal, Jason Richardson, Mike Dunleavy, Troy Murphy and Speedy Claxton.  These young players would certainly feed O?Neal down low with far greater frequency than what was evidenced during the Lakers implosion in this year?s Finals, with the constant array of Kobe Bryant fadeaway 21 footers.
