Former Orlando Magic guard Morlon Wiley is expected to be named the fifth assistant coach to Johnny Davis this week.

Mavericks President of Basketball Operations Donnie Nelson confirmed to the Dallas Morning News today that Wiley has resigned as a player development assistant coach after four years on the staff. His position will be filled by Avery Johnson.

Wiley, a journeyman guard during his playing career, will join lead assistant Paul Westhead, Ron Ekker, Chris Jent and Clifford Ray on the coaching staff. Westhead is the lone holdover from last season, joining the team in December after Doc Rivers' ouster.
