Indiana Pacers forward Ron Artest exploded into the stands at the Palace of Auburn Hills tonight, throwing punches at tens of fans, some of which threw beer at him while he sat on the scorer's table following a fight on court with Pistons center Ben Wallace.

Pacers Stephen Jackson, Jermaine O'Neal and Artest all threw punches at Pistons fans. Associate head coach Mike Brown and guard Eddie Gill were also seen in the stands, mostly trying to break up the action.

Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace also tried to stop the fight.

Fans showered Pacers with chairs, beer and food as they exited the court. The Pacers won 97-82 as play was suspended with 45 seconds to go.

The two teams meet again Christmas Day in Indianapolis.
