Thursday is the first day players who signed contracts over the summer can be traded, meaning the names of Sonics Vladimir Radmanovic, Ronald Murray and Reggie Evans are likely to be tossed around in trade rumors.

Evans cannot be traded until January 4, 2006 and Radmanovic cannot be traded until December 21, 2005.  At that time, they must give their consent (and lose their bird rights) as 1 Yr Bird players, according to RealGM's capologists.

Radmanovic earlier this season expressed his displeasure over his role and said if it didn?t change, something else would have to.

His playing time has increased to an average of 21.8 minutes a game, better than the 15-minute average he had at the beginning of the season but still less than the 30 he averaged a season ago.

?I don?t want to talk about my role any more,? Radmanovic said. ?I think we are done with that. I am just concentrating on the game and playing the right way. The last couple of games I am trying to get into my rhythm. It has been going pretty good for me.?

Weiss said Monday that he did not think that any trades needed to be executed to improve a 9-10 team that has been inconsistent all season.

?We just need to get into a rhythm and stay in that rhythm,? Weiss said.

Radmanovic and his agent, David Bauman, recently met to discuss the season, but Radmanovic said he told Bauman not to contact him unless a trade is imminent. Radmanovic has the right to veto any trade because he is on a one-year tender contract.

?I told him if there is something that is happening, let me know. But rumors and stuff like that, I am not interested in that. I don?t want to think about 15 different things,. If something happens, it happens, I want to be aware of that. But otherwise that is it.?

On the possibility of being traded, Radmanovic said, ?We are all tradeable, I guess. The good thing for me is that ? I don?t have to go somewhere I am not going to play. If they want me to go somewhere, I guess we can talk about it.

?I can?t say I am happy. I am just trying to play. That is about it.?

Murray said he did not know Thursday is a key date.

?I?m not even paying attention to that,? Murray said. ?If something is going to happen, it will happen. I don?t focus on that. My focus is on this basketball court.?
