Michael Beasley was set. The high school senior signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Bob Huggins at Kansas State.

One problem. Huggins agreed this week to fill the coaching vacancy at West Virginia.

So now Beasley is faced with a decision. Does he honor his commitment to K-State, even though the coach who recruited him is no longer there? Or does he look to play elsewhere?

Eyewitness Sports Everywhere caught up with Beasley Friday as he prepares to play in the Nike Hoop Summit Saturday at FedExForum. Beasley told us he hasn't had a lot of time to think about his next move. But his roommate this week, Memphis Tiger signee Derrick Rose, has been in his ear.

"I've been kidding around with him, telling him to come (to Memphis)," says Rose.

Has Rose's recruiting pitch been effective? Maybe.

"I'm definitely interested in Memphis," says Beasley. The 6'9" forward likes the Tigers' up-tempo style of play.

One potential obstacle for Beasley, whether he decides to transfer to Memphis or elsewhere? Kansas State, which as of now is on record as saying they will not release any of their basketball players from their Letters of Intent.
