An avalanche of injuries decimated the Sonics roster and forced P.J. Carlesimo into scramble mode Thursday. The coach wanted to finish the morning workout with two scrimmages, but he had to cut practice short because of a lack of players.

Robert Swift suffered the most serious injury of the three players who missed all or a portion of the workout. The 7-foot center complained of right knee tendinitis, hardly a surprise considering he underwent surgery to repair a torn right anterior cruciate ligament Nov. 22, 2006.

Kurt Thomas, Delonte West and Mickael Gelabale also were hurting.

None of the injuries are serious, Carlesimo said.
