General Manager Sam Presti announced today that Russell Westbrook and D.J. White have both been signed to multi-year contracts.

Westbrook was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft on June 26.

White was acquired from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for the 32nd (Walter Sharpe) and the 46th (Trent Plaisted) picks in the 2008 NBA Draft. The Pistons originally drafted White with the 29th overall pick. Per team policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

As a sophomore at UCLA, Westbrook was named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year and earned Third Team All Pac-10 honors. Westbrook led the team in assists with 4.3 apg, and ranked third in scoring with 12.7 ppg.  

White spent four seasons at Indiana University. He earned consensus Second Team All-America honors as a senior after averaging 17.4 ppg and 10.3 rpg. White was also named Big Ten Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference honors.
