While the 76ers are internally contemplating the possibility of signing free-agent guard Allen Iverson, they have yet to contact anyone in his camp.

A source told the Philadelphia Daily News that general manager Ed Stefanski is weighing the pluses and minuses of signing Iverson, but he hasn't reached out to Leon Rose, the guard's agent, or Gary Moore, his personal manager.

The source did add, however, that Rose has contacted the team to gauge their interest in his client.

"Every other time Rose has called, the Sixers have said no. In the light of [Louis] Williams' injury and the need for an experienced guard, they are at least talking about it," the source told the Daily News.

The belief is that the 76ers will come to a quick decision on Iverson as the rumors have already taken on a life of their own.
