The Bulls have backed off their pursuit of free-agent point guard Patrick Beverley, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

Chicago went as far as to schedule a physical with Beverley last week, but they have tabled the idea of signing anyone as a third point guard.

They are believed to want to leave room on their roster for flexibility in trades.

The Bulls and Jazz are currently the only NBA teams with just 13 players on their rosters.
