Semih Erden has had to contribute to the Celtics due to injury and he is nursing one of his own.

Erden injured his shoulder over the summer and coach Doc Rivers has said that the young player will eventually require surgery.

"There's going to be a point when Semih can't play," Rivers said. "I don't know that, but I believe that. I just think that with the shoulders, there's a point where it's going to come out and then he's not going to be able to play."

Boston is still waiting for Kendrick Perkins to return from a knee injury and both Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal have missed time with injury.
