Bobcats owner Michael Jordan is pushing to acquire Carmelo Anthony from the Nuggets, according to a league source.

The Knicks and Nets have spent a lot of time on the phone with the Nuggets and popular belief is that Anthony wants to play in New York.

"That's where he wants to be, not Jersey. But Michael Jordan is pushing to get him, too, and save the Bobcats' season," said the league source.

The Nuggets have a three-year contract extension worth nearly $65 million sitting on the table awaiting Anthony's signature, and they have not given up hope that he will sign it.
