Chauncey Billups is expected to sit out for about a week because of a sprained wrist.

Denver's floor general initially injured the wrist in a fall on Nov. 20 against the Nets and it hasn't healed properly. He has a few ligament tears that need rest to heal.

"They told me it should feel better if I rest it up for a week," Billups said. "It's supposed to feel better by then. But, of course, the best scenario is for me to rest it for four to six weeks and do nothing, but I can't do that.

"I'm banking on the fact that it's going to feel better. The thing that makes me feel good about it is I was playing with it all this time, and even playing with it there was a time that it felt a little better. So I feel like I can get there again. But to keep banging it isn't going to be the solution right now."
