The Bobcats will be without forward Tyrus Thomas for up to two months because of a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Thomas complained of a sore knee before Thursday's game against the 76ers, which prompted tests. He was a late scratch against Philadelphia.
He is averaging 11.1 points and 5.8 rebounds in 34 games off the bench this season.
