The Trail Blazers will not sign Chris Johnson to another 10-day contract, general manager Rich Cho said Friday.

Johnson was signed to a 10-day contract on Jan. 24 as part of an injury exception the Blazers were granted following Marcus Camby's left knee surgery.

If the Trail Blazers signed Johnson to another 10-day contract, Camby would have had to sit out for another two weeks regardless of whether or not he was healthy enough to play.

Portland will play seven games in the next two weeks, and Cho said he didn't want to risk the possibility of Camby having to miss all seven games.
