LaMarcus Aldridge had a career-high 42 points as the Blazers defeated the Bulls by a final of 109-103 on Monday night.

But Nicolas Batum gave a great deal of credit for the win to Andre Miller, who had an effective night against Derrick Rose.

"We know that Derrick Rose is a good offensive player," Batum said. "But you have to play defense, too. He can't guard Dre. You gotta play defense. He can't play defense, so that's why we put Dre inside and try to attack him. He did a great job. Had 25 (points) and 11 (assists)."

Rose had 36 points and six assists.
