Brandon Bass is content in Orlando after grumbling about playing time last season.

He signed a four-year, $18 million contract with the Magic in the summer of 2009 only to play the third-fewest minutes of his career as the backup to Rashard Lewis.

After the Magic traded Lewis in one of their two blockbuster deals in December, Bass became a fixture in the lineup.

"I'm confident in my role now and happy with how I've been contributing," Bass said. "There's always room for improvement, but I definitely feel like I'm getting involved now."

Bass, who recently returned from an ankle injury, is averaging career-highs in minutes, points and rebounds this season.
