Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun will not be on the sidelines for the Huskies against Marquette on Thursday night due to the death of his wife's sister.

Calhoun was close with Eileen Fucile, the sister of his wife, Pat. Fucile died Monday after a 12-year battle with breast cancer.

He will also miss Wednesday's practice. Associate head coach George Blaney, who filled in last season for Calhoun when he missed seven games due to a health issue, will run the team in Calhoun's absence.
