Over the course of 19 games, David Hess tracked every time a KU player forced a missed shot or a turnover, allowed a field goal, grabbed a defensive rebound, or committed a foul that resulted in free throws.

Hess’ research found that Markieff Morris is the Jayhawks’ most dominant defensive player, leading the Jayhawks in stop percentage (61.9%) and defensive rating (95.1).

Markieff also forces more turnovers and sends opposing players to the line less than other Kansas bigs.
