Dwyane Wade said his bruised right thigh could have him out at the start of the three-game homestand that opens Wednesday night against the Bucks.

Wade sustained what the team termed a "right lateral thigh contusion" in the first quarter of Sunday's 108-94 victory in New Jersey. Wade retreated to the locker room in the second quarter, but returned to start the second half, playing to the finish.

"When the game ended, the pain was at a 10," Wade said Monday. "Right now, I'm at a 9.7."

"I'm just going to take it a day at a time," he said. "I'm going to do my treatment, my therapy and see how I feel on Wednesday. If I feel I can go, I'll go. If I feel like I'm going to hurt myself even more and hurt my team, I'll wait."
