Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was escorted to the locker room with 7:02 remaining in the third quarter of Saturday night's Game 3 between Miami and Boston.

The Celtics held a 60-50 lead at the time of the injury.

Rondo got tangled with Dwyane Wade on the play in which he was hurt. He suffered a dislocated his left elbow, according to the team.

He clutched the arm while being walked to the locker room by Boston's medical staff and general manager Danny Ainge.

With less than a minute left in the third quarter, Rondo returned to the end of Boston's bench with wraps on both elbows.

He was on the floor to begin the fourth quarter.

The Celtics are short on point guards, having deactivated Carlos Arroyo to make room for Shaquille O'Neal on the active roster.
