After declaring for the NBA draft March 31, Washington junior Isaiah Thomas left the door open that he might return to school when he didn't hire an agent.

That door slammed shut today when the Husky guard told coach Lorenzo Romar he plans to remain in the draft. The deadline to withdraw from the draft and return to school is today.

"When I spoke with Isaiah, in his mind he felt this is what he was ready to do," Romar said minutes ago. "He just felt he would show why he'd be worthy of being drafted higher. He has a high level of confidence in what he can get done."
