Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert wished bad karma upon LeBron James when he left Cleveland last summer.

Perhaps getting the No. 1 pick in Tuesday’s NBA draft lottery is the good karma in which the Cavs have been waiting.

“(Karma has come) to mind, but not to my mouth yet ... or my Twitter account,” Gilbert joked.

The blistering open letter to James drew cheers from many fans in Cleveland and jeers from many in the national media.

“They should have seen the first version of the letter if they are so upset,” Gilbert said.

The Cavs owner certainly didn’t back down from his prediction that his team would win a title before Miami.

“Until it doesn’t happen, I still believe it,” he said.
