A number of experts have Enes Kanter just outside of the top trio of picks in Thursday night’s NBA Draft, but don’t tell the big man that.

Kanter has been often linked to the Utah Jazz, who own the third overall selection. But Brandon Knight is also the player most often believed to be Utah's preferred pick.

Asked often about the possibility of playing for the Jazz, Kanter admitted that he would be comfortable in Salt Lake City.

“First of all, I like the Jazz because they play together and they are a very good team,” he said Wednesday. “I believe I can help them. I played against the head coach one-on-one, he’s tough.”

Utah also holds the 12th overall pick in the first round.

“I just talked to him and I think I’d be great for them,” Kanter said when asked to expand on his game of one-on-one against head coach Tyrone Corbin.

When asked about his expectations heading into the draft, the big man appeared confident.

“I will say … top three,” he predicted.

Sensing that he favors Utah as his NBA home, a reporter outright asked Kanter if he thinks the Jazz will draft him third overall.

“Yeah, they might,” he smiled. “I hope.”
