While the specter of missed games is still months away, the NBA's lockout is already affecting the on-court product in subtle ways. With teams unable to communicate with their players, many are scattering around the globe instead of working out with their franchises.

The Houston Rockets are a prime example of this: Kyle Lowry and Chuck Hayes will likely head to Las Vegas, while Kevin Martin and Courtney Lee will head to Tampa, FL to work out with ESPN commentator David Thorpe.

Houston's two first-round picks -- Marcus Morris and Donatas Motiejunas -- won't be staying around either. Motiejunas has returned to Italy for the training camp of Benetton Treviso, his club team, and has indicated that he will play for Benetton if the NBA season does not start on time. Morris is heading out to LA to work out with former NBA guard Pooh Richardson.
