Mississippi State confirmed Wednesday that the team has signed Kristers Zeidaks, a 6-foot-8 small forward out of Latvia, to a financial aid agreement. He has been academically cleared by the NCAA and will enroll in the fall term.

The 21-year-old did not play with a club last season and is therefore eligible to play for MSU this season.

Zeidaks played for the Latvian national team in the U20 European Championships last year, averaging 13.7 points and 6.2 rebounds while shooting 47.1 percent from the field.
