Kobe Bryant was amongst a group of players that preferred to continue negotiating with the owners, even if it meant giving up more than what they were comfortable giving.

But even though he didn't love the option of taking the legal route, Bryant told the player representatives that they better be prepared to fight for the long-run and suffer the consequences of giving up salaries for a year.

Many of the players in the room didn't leave the meeting on Monday genuinely expecting to forfeit a year's salary, according to Wojnarowski.
