Thomas Robinson has been impressing NBA scouts with strong performances against Kentucky and Georgetown.

Scouts were optimistic about Robinson due to his NBA physique and excellent per minute rebounding during his freshman and sophomore seasons. Robinson grabbed 0.44 rebounds per minute as a sophomore and is recording 0.40 this season. His offensive rebounds are down from 0.15 to 0.09, but he is averaging more than twice as many minutes per game and is a normal regression.

A couple of NBA scouts told ESPN.com that Bill Self strongly criticized Robinson for a lack of effort during a Saturday practice. But Robinson responded with 20 points and 12 rebounds against Georgetown on Monday.

Those same scouts expressed concern of how Robinson is handling the increased role on a Kansas team looking to replace the Morris brothers.
