Al Harrington is the Nuggets’ second-leading scorer and is averaging five more points per game than he did last season.

"If you had an MVP right now," Nuggets coach George Karl said, "this season it would be Al."

Harrington's success is directly attributable to being healthy.

He spent the 2010-11 season dealing with one injury after another: plantar fascia strain, bad back, strained Achilles, dislocated thumb on his shooting hand.

"It was just like the perfect storm," Harrington said.
