Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge would like to be considered for the U.S. Olympic team headed for the 2012 games.

“It would be an honor to play for my country this summer if I was asked to,” Aldridge said. “I would do it in a heartbeat. Hopefully I get a call.”

With Minnesota's Kevin Love, Los Angeles' Blake Griffin, and New York's Tyson Chandler also expected to receive consideration, Aldridge says he'd be thrilled just going through the process.

“I would love to just tryout for the team,” he said. “It's the ultimate goal to represent your country and if I had the privilege, it would be humbling.”
