The Mad Ants have acquired former Michigan State standout Travis Walton to help handle point guard duties after the recent call-up of Walker D. Russell, Jr. to the Detroit Pistons.

Walton is a 6’2 point guard who played earlier this season in the NBA Development League for the Dakota Wizards and averaged 4.8 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist in 19.8 minutes of action per game.  Walton has prior professional playing experience in Switzerland and Germany, and he was the teammate of current Mad Ants center Sean Sonderleiter while playing in Germany.

While at Michigan State, Walton made a name for himself by being an excellent defender.
