The Knicks are tied with the Bucks for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and surprisingly parted ways with head coach Mike D’Antoni on Wednesday, but that doesn’t mean they are more inclined to make a move before Thursday afternoon’s trade deadline.

New York is unlikely to make a major move before the league-wide deadline, according to a league source.

If the Knicks do make a move it would almost certainly involve trading Toney Douglas, the source added.

Douglas had fallen out of D’Antoni’s rotation with the emergence of Jeremy Lin. He has appeared in just one of New York’s last 18 games.
