Anthony Davis appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on Thursday night.

The soon-to-be No. 1 pick handled himself well, cracked a few jokes and successfully deflected Kimmel’s repeated attempts to get him to acknowledge his plans about staying in school or heading to the NBA.

Asked about his eyebrow, Davis said he thought about shaving it when he arrived at Kentucky, but decided the unibrow would become his trademark.

“Yeah. It’s a funny story,” Davis said. “When I first got to Kentucky, guys were like, ‘You need to cut it. It doesn’t look good. You look like Bert off Sesame Street, Bert and Ernie.’ So I was actually thinking, ‘I need to cut this.’ But after a while I decided, ‘It’s me. It’s my brand. I like the way it is.’ So everybody just started embracing it, had T-shirts.”

Davis is still attending classes at Kentucky, though he hinted he’ll soon declare for the NBA draft.

“Coach Cal is forcing us to go to class,” Davis said. “I don’t know why. We just won the national championship (grinning).

“I had Comm 287, a communication class, and I had a speech to do. I told my professor, ‘Look, we just won. Could you push my speech back to Wednesday?’ He said, ‘Alright, you can go on Wednesday.’ But I didn’t go Wednesday. I said, ‘Can we push it back to Monday?’ Uh, but then I had to leave Thursday, so I’m playing a little game with him (grinning).”

Davis joked about John Calipari's attempt to get him to stay in Lexington.

“He says if I stay I can play point guard next year, so I’m really thinking about it,” Davis said.
