Warriors Could Move D-League Team To Santa Cruz

The Golden State Warriors could move the Dakota Wizards to Santa Cruz.
The Wizards are a D-League team owned and operated by the Warriors.
Next week Santa Cruz city leaders will decide if they want to spend $2.5 million to bring the team to the city.
"This would not have any impact on the ability of the city to continue to provide the services its currently providing," said Martin Bernal, city manager.
City council members are thinking about turning a lot on Front and Spruce Streets owned by Seaside Company into a 35,000 square foot arena and fit up to 5,000 people.
