Jeremy Lin has been ruled out for a return to the Knicks' lineup during their first round series against the Heat.

New York is depleted at point guard following the injury to Baron Davis.

Lin had surgery to repair a torn meniscus more than five weeks ago.

“Speaking with medical and Jeremy, he will not play in this series,” Mike Woodson said. “All we can do is put him on the floor, and if he’s not ready to go based on how he’s feeling, you have to respect that and move on.

“Keep it moving. He’ll let us know when he’s ready and the doctors will, too.”
